Yoga at The Healing Tree

At The Healing Tree Collective, our yoga is rooted in the intention of yoga.. not the westernized version that turns it into a workout or a performance.

We honor yoga as a practice of breath awareness, embodied presence, inner steadiness, and compassionate self-connection.
Our goal is for you to feel safe to move your body.. not judged, not compared, not pressured just supported.

This is a practice that helps you come home to your breath and let your body soften into trust again.

Not sure where to start?

Yoga is a great place to begin if you feel stressed, disconnected, tense, or mentally “on” all the time.
It’s grounding, supportive, and beginner-friendly.

  • Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
  • Tension in shoulders, hips, jaw, low back
  • Feeling disconnected from your body
  • Wanting a steady weekly reset

* Complementary wellness practice.. not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment.

What is yoga (beyond the westernized version)?

Yoga is an ancient practice rooted in breath, awareness, and the relationship between the body and the mind.
While movement (asana) is one part of yoga, the heart of the practice is connection; to your breath, your present moment, and your inner experience.. creating more union within yourself.

How yoga supports the nervous system

Yoga helps regulate the nervous system by teaching the body how to shift out of stress and into steadiness.
Breath-led movement, mindful pacing, and longer exhales can support downshifting into rest and presence.

This is why yoga can be supportive for mental and emotional health: it helps your body learn safety again.

What you may notice after class

  • A calmer mind and steadier breathing
  • Less tension in your shoulders, hips, and jaw
  • More grounded presence in your body
  • More emotional steadiness
  • Better sleep and recovery
  • A clearer, more supported baseline

Every body is different. Your practice is yours.

  • More clarity and presence
  • Better sleep and recovery support
